To Benefit the United Cerebral Palsy of Central
Florida
In February 1999, the Central Florida
Professional Firefighters Hockey Organization and the Central Florida
Enforcers played each other in the 3rd Annual Guns N’ Hoses
Charity Hockey Game. This
event was played in the TD Waterhouse Centre and was sponsored in part by
the Orlando Solar Bears. The
game was televised on Time Warner Communications in over 400,000 homes
across Central Florida and was attended by more than 2,000 spectators.
The event raised more than $5,000 for Give Kids the World.
The beneficiary of the
2001 Gun N' Hoses game
was UCP Child Development Centers (tax-exempt number
58-00-094700-56C). Founded in
1955 by a group of concerned parents, UCP originally only provided
services to children with cerebral palsy.
In the last decade, UCP has expanded its services to include
children with any kind of disability, delay, or children who are at-risk.
The 4th Annual Guns N’
Hoses Game was held in the TD Waterhouse Centre on Saturday,
March 3rd, 2001 at 1:00 p.m.
In addition, the game was televised on Time Warner
Communications and sponsored in part by the Orlando Solar Bears.
As with any charity event, we are
seeking sponsorships and donations to help offset the costs incurred of
this event and to help raise money for UCP Child Development Centers.
Please take this opportunity to contact the
CFFFH club and inquire about sponsorship and donation
information.
We look forward to working with you in
such a unique and exciting event! Thank you in advance for your
participation.
Sincerely,
George Hart
